Just a quick note to remind you that it’s our very first Stay and Play session tomorrow from 8.45am until 9.15am. It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible.
Also, after Stay and Play, Gruffalo class will be taking part in Forest School ALL morning tomorrow. It is forecast to be cold so please send in gloves and a hat with the usual waterproof clothing and wellies.
The Reception children have been attending Celebration assembly on Fridays for a few weeks now and have a good understanding of ‘Star of the Week’. From this Friday, a child from each Reception class will be chosen to be ‘Star of the Week’ for a special achievement and will be given recognition for this quality in the Friday Celebration assembly. You will know if it is your child who has been chosen because you will receive a text from the school inviting you to the Celebration assembly to see your child receive the special recognition. (This text goes out a week in advance to give you forewarning, so the parents of this week’s ‘star’ already knows.) We keep our ‘Star’ a secret until a little nearer the time. When your child is ‘Star of the Week’ he / she will get to bring home the class Gruffalo and his diary for the weekend. You can then read about his adventures when he visits his class friends. This half term holiday, The Gruffalo was very busy and stayed with myself for the first half of the week and with Mrs Read for the second half. We have added photos and sentences about his adventures to the diary to share with you. The Gruffalo class will see the diary for the first time tomorrow and we will announce who our very first ‘Star’ is.
Also, several parents mentioned to me that they have not received the trip letter. These may have been misplaced, left in drawers etc so I now have extra copies. Please come and see me if you need one.
We hope to see you at Stay and Play tomorrow,
The Reception Team
